A bright, zesty, and aromatic Jasmine rice infused with fresh lime and cilantro. Perfect for tacos, bowls, and grilled proteins.

Ingredients

1 cup long grain jasmine rice
1.5 cups water or vegetable broth
1 pinch kosher salt
1 large lime (zested and juiced)
1 small clove garlic (finely chopped)
0.5 cup fresh cilantro (finely chopped)

Instructions

  1. Rinse the rice in a fine-mesh sieve until the water runs completely clear.
  2. Combine rice, water, and salt in a medium saucepan.
  3. Bring to a boil uncovered, then reduce heat to a simmer.
  4. Cover with a tight-fitting lid and cook on low for 12 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat and let sit covered for 10 minutes to steam.
  6. Fluff the rice with a fork and stir in lime zest, lime juice, garlic, and cilantro.

Notes

  • Do not open the lid during the simmering or steaming process.
